Thankful, Blessed, and Mashed Potato Obsessed

Posted on November 24, 2021 by Megan Hamlin

Not to be corny, but we are feeling thankful here at Torx.

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we wanted to take this time to give thanks where thanks is due.

First and foremost, we want to say THANK YOU to all our amazing clients. Thank you for trusting us to help you put your best foot forward. Thank you for believing in us. And thank you for supporting us.

We love what we do and all the opportunities you give us to create something special!

What else is the Torx team thankful for? Glad you asked.

Eat, Drink, and Be Thankful

Chris Gives Thanks

I’m thankful for a bunch of stuff that we often take for granted these days:

  1. Donuts. More specifically, Country Style Donuts. Most specifically, glazed lemon-filled Country Style Donuts.
  2. Central air conditioning (and heating). But why does the AC only seem to fail on those 90+ degree summer days?
  3. Attending professional baseball games. Go Phillies!!!
  4. Being able to silence my mobile phone. If it’s important, leave me a voicemail. I pinky-swear that I’ll get back to ya.
  5. More donuts. Did I mention the glazed lemon-filled donuts from Country Style?

I’m also thankful for these digital marketing tools and technology:

  1. WordPress. I wasn’t originally sold on WordPress, but over the years, it has become an integral part of what we do here at Torx.
  2. BrowserStack. I clearly remember the days of testing using dozens of different actual mobile devices. Those days are gone. Thanks, BrowserStack!
  3. Sass. We can never go back to the days of CSS withOUT nesting and withOUT variables.
  4. The Apple II. The first computer I programmed on. Without Applesoft BASIC, I probably wouldn’t have become the nerd I am today.

(*insert warm and fuzzies here*)

I’m thankful for the amazing team we’ve built here at Torx, the abundant work we’ve had throughout the pandemic, and for the amazing new clients we began working with this year.

I’m also super thankful to be able to travel back to the east coast for the December holidays to visit family, friends, coworkers, and clients.

Finally, I’m thankful for bananas foster french toast from Ken’s House of Pancakes! Mmmm!

(Possums?)

I’m thankful for family, firstly. I’m also thankful for nature for all the joy it brings me, and especially for bonfires because S’MORES.

I’m also thankful for our clients; that they choose to work with us and trust us to partner with them to help grow their business. That’s a pretty cool thing. I’m also thankful for Slack for all the giphys that brighten my day, and for the Torx fam who makes coming to work fun.

Oh, and I’m grateful for possums – they’re very cute and misunderstood.

Jonathan Gives Thanks

(All the feels🥰.)

I’m obviously super thankful for the friends and family in my life. It (almost) goes without saying, but relationships are the most important things in life and I’m glad I’ve got some great ones! Being able to buy a house and getting to do some traveling this year are other significant things I’m thankful for.

Professionally, I’m really thankful that my work isn’t stagnant and that there’s something interesting or new I get to do almost every day. I’m thankful to have coworkers who genuinely care about me and don’t take themselves too seriously.

#FREEBRITNEY

I am thankful first and foremost for an amazing family. I get to travel back home in December, and I couldn’t be more excited to see everyone.  Cue Country Roads by John Denver. I am also very grateful for all of my friendships, near and far, and for having a wonderful support system of people who care about me.

I am thankful for books and all the places I can be transported to while reading them. I also love the way books smell…anyone else? I am also very thankful that Britney Spears is now free and out of her conservatorship!

Lastly, I am thankful for a wonderful work family who makes coming into work on an early Monday morning that much better.

Oh, and for my precious little kitty, Abu. I love him dearly.

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone has an incredible Thanksgiving celebrating with loved ones (and eating way too much mashed potatoes).

And be sure to take some time to give thanks for everything you are thankful for this year, big and small.🧡
