Jeff is a co-owner of Torx and serves as the company's director of technology. He built his first website back in 1996 and has never looked back. Jeff wears many hats here at Torx: business development manager, project manager, front-end designer and programmer, and resident Apple enthusiast.
He excels at problem solving and explaining technical matters in a human-friendly manner that everyone can understand.
Prior to catching the entrepreneurial bug, Jeff received a first-class education in advertising and marketing while working at The Martin Agency for almost 10 years.
Jeff enjoys driving anything that has a motor, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, boats, go karts, tractors and airplanes. Although, he’s never had the chance to drive those last two things.
Chris is a co-owner of Torx and serves as the company's director of development. After creating his very first computer program on an Apple II in the second grade, it was obvious that one day he would pursue a career in technology. Chris can often be found neck-deep in code that powers custom web applications and databases, and from time to time, he dabbles in front-end and UX/UI design as well.
A primary skill of Chris's is being able to visualize the technical aspects and requirements of new projects before the first line of code is written.
Before Torx began back in 2008, Chris polished his programming skills at several small technology-focused companies, including Interactive Financial Marketing Group and UK-based Mobile Streams.
Whenever he can escape from the office, Chris and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy traveling to far-off exotic lands such as Hawaii, Hawaii, and.... Hawaii.
Sammy is the account manager at Torx. She is the primary point of contact for all client needs, as well as the manager of all the Torx team members. She creates and maintains timelines for projects, keeps all of the Torx team on track, keeps clients informed of their projects and answers any questions they may have along the way. She’d like to think Torx would fall apart without her kind, but firm, reminders of expectations and deadlines.
Sammy graduated from VCU with a B.S. in Marketing as well as a Certificate in Product Innovation. She’s been a devout VCU basketball fan since her freshman year and doesn’t intend to stop the obsession anytime soon. She has lived in RVA for over 12 years and still finds plenty of fun new things to do, places to go and food to eat.
In her free time, Sammy enjoys music, especially singing. She was a show choir nerd in high school, an a cappella aficionado in college, and now takes Carnatic (South Indian classical) voice lessons. She is also interested in fashion, beauty and pop culture. You can find her locked away doing nail art for hours, watching the most buzzed-about movies and shows, reading the latest celebrity gossip, or maybe even coloring her newest coloring book.
Jordan is the content marketing specialist at Torx, where she works with clients to plan and execute super social media strategies that excite and engage their customers.
Jordan has been a professional writer since approximately the third grade, and she uses her storytelling skills to help organizations connect with their digital audiences in meaningful ways. As both a practitioner and mega-fan of content marketing, she enjoys helping businesses navigate the rapidly-shifting digital landscape to meet their strategic goals. She can often be found trolling for trends in the giant black hole of the internet, a responsibility she does not take lightly.
Jordan has lived in Richmond since 2013, when she graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Political Science and Media Arts & Design. Before joining Torx, she gained experience writing original content and managing social media marketing for local clients in commercial business, higher education and nonprofit organizations. If you ask her whether your company needs social media, she will answer with a deadpanned, unequivocal YES.
