“Reliable web development services.” It’s a promise thrown around by about every web development company out there – but what does it actually mean?
For many companies, claiming to be reliable is an empty promise. Here at Torx Media, we’ve dissected being reliable into a 3-part methodology:
It is essential for web designers and developers to prove to their clients that they can deliver results and meet deadlines. When handling multiple clients, web developers must be able to effectively address each of those client’s individual needs, while keeping everyone’s respective deadlines in mind. Imagine the consequences if a web developer never kept deadlines in check. Marketing campaigns may be ruined, the client’s clients may be let down, etc.
Reliability also includes being completely honest with our clients. In the event that an unreasonable request has been made (due to a client’s budget or time constraints), it is our responsibility to be straightforward and ensure that all parties are on the same page. We don’t over-promise and under-deliver – and that is another way that Torx is reliable.
It is often necessary for our web developers and project managers to sit down with our clients and talk through (in English – not “Geek-Speak”) a project’s goals. We understand that our clients might not fully understand the technical capabilities (and limitations) of launching a new website. It is our responsibility, here at Torx, to answer those questions in a reliable manner, throughout the entire life of any given project.
