My name is Rachel Crowe, and I am the new account manager at Torx Media.
About Rachel | Past Experience
I graduated from James Madison University in 2018 with two bachelor’s degrees, one in History and one in Art History. I also earned a Studio Art minor. Throughout college, and for a while post-grad, I worked for an internal marketing agency at JMU, University Unions Technology & Design. In my four and a half years there, I was Lead Photographer, Content Strategist, Project Manager and Gallery Director.
Hobbies & Interests
I have a deep love for all things art, so growing up near D.C. museums and frequenting Harrisonburg’s First Fridays circuit was soothing to the soul. While I lived in Harrisonburg, I did a few art gallery internships and eventually became Director of ArtWorks Gallery, a beautiful space just on the outskirts of downtown. I curated five full exhibitions including a Juried Show with artist Anna Kell and, my personal favorite, a Thrift Shop exhibition where all materials had to be sourced from secondhand stores. I still swear to this day that building is haunted.
Another passion of mine is photography, especially creative portraits and landscapes. I love urban scenes and vibrant colors, so I’m excited for all the new content I’ll be able to produce in Richmond. My favorite locations to photograph so far have been New York City, Charleston and Washington, D.C. I occasionally photograph weddings and have covered countless Harrisonburg events over the last few years.
Then and Now | Account Manager at Torx Media
I am moving to Richmond this month and cannot wait to explore the food and music scene here. I’m hoping that once I get settled, I’ll also find myself back in the screenprinting studio or volunteering time at art galleries.
I’m excited to expand my marketing experience here at Torx Media and look forward to a hands-on experience with each of our clients. If you would like to contact me directly, I can be reached via email at email@example.com.
